COLD HANDS WARM HEART - LP / DIGITAL

A four piece utilising lever harp, soft synth, recorder, textural guitar, bass and a drum kit incorporating found objects, the group's ethereal sound is fashioned around the songs of Genevieve Fry (Grand Salvo, Prudence Rees-Lees, Four Larks Theater).

Minimalism and space contrast with extreme sonic furious intensity. Layers of textural sound and free improvisation weave between compositions that reflect themes of nature, presence, life and death. Their live show is a meditation on melody/ assonance and its lacuna/ hiatus.

Cold Hands Warm Heart - Nightfall

Band members being, moving through, listening to the Merri Creek/ Yarra and surrounds. From day to night. Transitional times. Considering the pre-colonial indigenous and industrial history of the site. A place where worlds meet between the ‘natural’ and ‘human’, past & present. The flow (water/air/animals/traffic). The warm dense air, dense atmosphere... encasing us, fluid and thick like water. An urban ecology.
