TRIPLE R ALBUM OF THE WEEK

‘Best thing i've heard in a while’ - Efficient Space

Bark. Branches. Stones. Clay. Cold Hands Warm Heart is a Narrm-based collective of four musicians who seek to pay homage to nature by evoking it through experimental soundscapes. A fallen tree, teeming with life. The swell of a river, after rain. This is music that draws attention to deep time by inviting deep listening.

CHWH are Genevieve Fry, Georgia Harvey, Esala Liyanage, and Travis John.

Band members being, moving through, listening to the Merri Creek/ Yarra and surrounds. From day to night. Transitional times. Considering the pre-colonial indigenous and industrial history of the site. A place where worlds meet between the ‘natural’ and ‘human’, past & present. The flow (water/air/animals/traffic). The warm dense air, dense atmosphere... encasing us, fluid and thick like water. An urban ecology.
